Ravindra Jadeja IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2008 to 2026

The fourth-most capped player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Ravindra Jadeja, is plying his trade for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 19th edition of the tournament.

Jadeja is one of the very few active players who played the inaugural edition of the tournament and are still a part of it. Jadeja was a part of the U19 draft at the inaugural IPL auction and was bought by Rajasthan for INR 20.06 lakhs. The bowling allrounder began his IPL journey under the astute leadership of Shane Warne in 2008.

Used primarily as a batter, Jadeja scored 135 runs at an average of 19.28 and a strike rate of 131.06. He was banned by the IPL Governing Council from playing in the 2010 season for breaching contract rules after trying to negotiate a move from Rajasthan to Mumbai Indians while still under contract with RR.

He was then picked up by Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK) at the 2011 IPL auction for INR 4.29 crore. He aggregated 283 runs in 12 innings that season at an average of 31.44 and a strike rate of 124.12.

2012 was the beginning of his bond with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Interestingly, both CSK and Deccan Chargers (DC) were tied after bidding $2 million for him. Eventually, it was CSK who bagged Jadeja via the silent tie-breaker. Jadeja became the third player to be bought through the silent tie-breaker after Kieron Pollard (MI) and Shane Bond (Kolkata Knight Riders) in 2010.

CSK traded Jadeja to Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2026 season in exchange for Sanju Samson, which brought an end to an era. Jadeja has accumulated 2354 runs for CSK at an average of 28.02 and a strike rate of 137.25, including five fifties. He has snared 152 scalps for Chennai at an average of 29.08 and an economy rate of 7.76, including three four-fers and a five-wicket haul.
