3 Batters with the most runs in Delhi Premier League

The Delhi Premier League (DPL) has emerged as a wonderful platform for local talent in the region to showcase themselves. The league is encouraging budding cricketers in and around Delhi to chase their dreams.

The first season of the tournament was played in 2024, with East Delhi Riders clinching the title under the leadership of Himmat Singh. In 2025, it was West Delhi Lions’ turn to shine, as Nitish Rana led them to a championship finish. 

Across the two seasons, there has been some superb batting on display, with players showcasing phenomenal stroke play. As DPL gradually moves towards its third season, here are the three batters who have aggregated the most runs in the tournament:

#1 Priyansh Arya

Priyansh Arya has stood out as the most outstanding batting talent in DPL. The southpaw is the leading run‑scorer in the T20 tournament, having aggregated 911 runs in just 18 innings at a highly consistent average of 53.59. 

Despite his consistency, Arya has not compromised on power‑hitting, scoring at a strike rate of 186.68. He has already struck three centuries and five fifties. Arya has represented South Delhi Superstarz and Outer Delhi Warriors.

#2 Arpit Rana

Arpit Rana is second on the list. The left‑hander has been a prolific run‑getter, amassing 757 runs in 20 innings at an average of 42.05 and a strike rate of 143.37. The 22‑year‑old has played for Purani Dilli 6 and East Delhi Riders, racking up eight half‑centuries.

#3 Himmat Singh

Himmat Singh occupies the third spot. A right‑handed batter, he has accumulated 746 runs in 20 innings, averaging nearly 50 (49.73) at a strike rate of 157.72.

The 29‑year‑old has recorded six fifties in the tournament and has been a nightmare for bowlers. He has represented East Delhi Riders and New Delhi Tigers so far.
