IPL 2026: CSK vs LSG, Match 53 at MA Chidambaram Stadium - Stats & player battles to watch

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are buoyant after two consecutive wins and will fancy their chances against a mercurial Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) side when they meet in a face-off at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk on May 10.

Their biggest strength is their two spinners, who have been remarkable in their control and wicket-taking ability this IPL season. Noor Ahmad has been CSK's lead spinner. The left-arm wrist spinner has already claimed 11 wickets in 10 matches at an economy rate of 8.38.

Akeal Hosein has also been purely brilliant. The West Indian has snared seven wickets in five games at a miserly economy rate of 7.24. With Chepauk renowned for assisting spinners traditionally, their role can be decisive against LSG.

Meanwhile, LSG now only have an outside chance of making it to the playoffs. They defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their previous clash and snapped an eight-match-long losing streak at home.
