The second round of the IPL's own El Clásico is upon us as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) prepare to make it 2-0 as they host Mumbai Indians (MI) for match 44 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 2.

There's still no clarity over MS Dhoni's availability. Therefore, Chennai Super Kings must brace for life without their former captain. CSK are struggling to put together a string of wins. They were expected to get the better of Gujarat Titans (GT) in their previous clash, especially after their resounding 103-run win over Mumbai. However, a lacklustre batting effort cost them two points.

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is woefully out of rhythm and desperately needs runs under his belt to exude confidence while leading his troops on the field of play.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians need to conjure a miracle of sorts to revive their campaign. They are second-last on the points table and need to win all six of their remaining fixtures to be in command of their playoff chances.

Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock were both unavailable for selection in the previous clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Therefore, MI fans would hope at least one of them, if not both, could feature in the clash.
