As the 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) enters the business end, teams cannot afford to make any slip-ups or else that may cost them a place in the playoffs.
After losing three games on the bounce, Delhi Capitals found a way to win as they beat Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium by four wickets. They have received a major boost in the form of Mitchell Starc, and he can bolster their bowling attack, which has blown hot and cold this season.

While Starc played the game against Rajasthan alongside Kyle Jamieson, Capitals would like to pair him with Lungi Ngidi instead, once the South African regains match fitness. Ngidi suffered a major setback as he injured the back of his head after a nasty fall in the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. He has resumed training since and is looking in much better shape.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings have played well in patches this season. They are on a high after beating their arch-rivals, Mumbai Indians. However, injuries are compounding their existing issues. Their fast-bowling allrounder Ramakrishna Ghosh, who picked up the big wicket of Suryakumar Yadav in the last game, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a fracture to his right foot.
Both teams have to win this contest to remain in control of their playoff fate moving forward.
