T20 cricket is a cash cow every ICC board member is looking to rear. The T20 franchise competition began as an experiment, something that a few boards wanted to tap into. The experiment turned out to be successful, and it has egged several cricket governing bodies to green-light a league of their own.

The proliferation of T20 leagues worldwide has reached a scale that has prompted the ICC to establish a committee to monitor every minute detail. It is known as the Franchise League Committee and has been established to ensure that these tournaments abide by the rules and regulations set by the ICC. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, Tamim Iqbal, is the chairman of the committee.

What's also stood out about these tournaments is the sheer dominance of bat over ball. The pitches in most of the prominent T20 leagues worldwide favour the batter and make it a challenge for the bowlers to survive. The integration of the Impact Player rule, in particular, has seen run-scoring skyrocket in the IPL and the Lanka Premier League (LPL) also adopted it gleefully this season.

On that note, let's take a look at the highest team scores in some of the prominent franchise competitions held around the world:
