The Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) has been a season of batters, with records being tumbled in almost every other game. The boundaries have almost disappeared for players as balls are sailing over the fence more often than not.
While modern-day cricket asks batters to depend heavily on their boundary scoring, a few also understand the importance of constant strike rotation to not allow bowlers build any pressure with dot balls. Here are three such players with the lowest dot ball percentages in the ongoing IPL 2026:

3. Ishan Kishan (26.02%)
Kishan was entrusted with the leadership duties of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the absence of Pat Cummins. The youngster not only did a commendable job as captain, guiding them to four wins out of seven games, but is also among the top run scorers of the team.
Kishan has 409 runs to his name from 11 innings at an average of 37.18 and a strike rate of 186.75. Kishan is also among the players with the lowest dot ball percentages (26.02%) in the season.
2. Tristan Stubbs (25.53%)
The DC batter has played several crucial innings for his team in the ongoing season, often bailing them out after an early collapse. Stubbs has scored 259 runs from 10 innings for Delhi. Batting in the lower order, the hard-hitting player can’t afford playing many dot balls for his side and hence has the second-lowest dot ball percentage in the season (25.53%).
1. Heinrich Klaasen (24.84%)
Klaasen is in the middle of his best-ever IPL campaign, being the leading run scorer of the season with 494 runs from 11 innings at an average of 54.88 with five fifties to his name. The biggest difference from the last few seasons is his strike rate, which has gone from the high 170s to 157.32 in the ongoing edition.
The Proteas star is doing the job of taking the team home, building on explosive starts from Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. He also has the lowest dot ball percentages in the ongoing season (24.84%).
