Chennai Super Kings commenced their IPL 2026 campaign against Rajasthan Royals at Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium on March 30.
CSK endured their maiden wooden-spoon finish in the history of the tournament last year, losing as many as 10 matches out of the 14 they played. Prior to that, in 2024, they narrowly missed the playoffs berth after finishing fifth in the points table and behind the fourth-placed Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) net run rate.

CSK play their home matches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, but they have also played a handful of matches at adopted home venues.
