Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to begin their Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday, March 28. The curtain raiser fixture of the tournament will also mark the return of cricketing action to RCB’s home ground, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The venue was banned from hosting games after the tragic stampede incident during RCB’s IPL victory celebrations in June 2025. However, after the government and court’s clearance, the venue is all set to host RCB’s matches in the upcoming season. While the Chinnaswamy Stadium will host five home games of RCB, the remaining two will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur.
