The action will continue in the Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) as five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 3 of the tournament on Monday, March 30 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Having had their worst-ever IPL season in the previous edition, CSK will be eager to bounce back strongly this year, having reinforced their squad with young talent.
The year 2026 is being seen as a new era for Chennai, with legendary wicketkeeper batter MS Dhoni set to miss the first two weeks of the tournament and Sanju Samson to don the gloves, while Ruturaj Gaikwad will return as skipper. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are also set to begin a new era under the full-time leadership of Riyan Parag after Sanju Samson’s trade to CSK.

The season will also mark the return of Ravindra Jadeja to RR after 17 years, after his initial days in the franchise under Shane Warne’s leadership.
