IPL 2026: KKR vs DC, Match 70 at Eden Gardens – Stats & player battles to watch

It's been more of a 'what if' IPL season for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Initially, they lost the services of Mustafizur Rahman. Moreover, the untimely injuries to Harshit Rana and Matheesha Pathirana took the sheen out of their bowling attack.

They were forced to rely on pacers like Kartik Tyagi, Vaibhav Arora, and Saurabh Dubey, who were included in the squad to play a supporting role. Their punt on Cameron Green hasn't paid the returns they were hopeful for.

While it can be argued that Green has pulled things back strongly in the batting department with 320 runs at a strike rate of 146.78, he only has seven wickets to show for in nine innings at an economy rate of 10.65. They have to root for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Saturday, so that they beat Punjab Kings and restrict them to just 13 points.

They also have to look westwards at Wankhede, where Mumbai Indians (MI) cross swords with Rajasthan Royals (RR), just a few hours before their match against Delhi on Sunday.

What has dented KKR's hopes majorly is the loss of Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Raghuvanshi has been ruled out with a fractured finger.

For Delhi Capitals (DC), it's more than a tall ask and something that seems extremely unlikely. Therefore, they would like to sign off with just a win.
