IPL 2026: RCB vs KKR, Match 57 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium - Stats & player battles to watch

Match 57 of the ongoing IPL 2026 will bring Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) up against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on May 13. Both teams are alive in the race for the playoffs. 

While RCB need two wins out of three to be almost certain of their place in the playoffs, KKR, though, are eighth on the points table; they are well and truly alive too. 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been phenomenal for RCB this season. He is the leading wicket-taker this season with 21 wickets in 11 games at an economy rate of 7.46. He will be a big threat to KKR's top order alongside Josh Hazlewood. RCB's biggest concern is Jitesh Sharma's batting form. The wicketkeeper batter is going through a slump, and that makes RCB's lower order a bit vulnerable.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see whether KKR give Matheesha Pathirana a go. Having completed his rehab, the Sri Lankan seamer is raring to go, but KKR's current overseas combination has also worked well for them. Finn Allen looked in ominous form, and KKR will expect him to go berserk again.
