Just when it looked like Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were firmly in place to smoothly book their spot in the IPL 2026 playoffs, they lost two in as many games, including a nine-run defeat (DLS) to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who were woefully out of form.
However, RCB still have four games left in the league stage, and two more wins should be good enough to guarantee them a spot in the playoffs. The problem is that they have now shifted base to the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur and don't have much time to acclimatise.

Raipur is their second home venue this season. But the conditions at the ground will be as alien to them as to their opponents on Sunday, Mumbai Indians (MI). Also, this is not exactly the time for any team to play Mumbai Indians, let alone an outfit like RCB, which can do anything but be complacent.
Mumbai are also mathematically alive but must keep winning to remain that way. They received a much-needed win in their last encounter and therefore would fancy their chances against RCB. Hardik Pandya missed the previous game, and there's still no update about his availability.
