The Indian women’s cricket team is the most successful side in the history of the Women’s Asia Cup. The Women in Blue have set the highest standards of performance in the continental tournament, lifting trophy after trophy. They have been the dominant force across both the ODI and T20I formats and shattered records one after the other.

Here are the top five records held by India in the Women’s Asia Cup that underline their status as the true dominant force in the tournament’s history:

1. Most wins in Women's Asia Cup history

India have played 45 matches in the Women's Asia Cup across the ODI and T20I formats and have won a whopping 41 games. Their dominance is even more remarkable in the ODI edition, where India remain unbeaten, winning all 20 matches they have played.

2. Only team to score 200 in the Women's T20I Asia Cup

India are the only team to breach the 200-run mark in the Women's T20I Asia Cup. They achieved the feat against the UAE in Dambulla during the 2024 edition, posting 201/5 in 20 overs. It remains the highest team total in the tournament's T20I history as India became the first and only side to cross 200.

3. Most Women's Asia Cup titles

No team has come close to matching India’s glittering trophy cabinet when it comes to Women's Asia Cup titles. India have won the tournament seven times across its ODI and T20I editions, while the other 10 teams that have participated in the competition have collectively managed just two titles.

4. Lowest total defended in a Women's Asia Cup final

India produced one of the greatest bowling performances in Women's Asia Cup history during the 2012 final. After being bowled out for just 81, they somehow defended the modest total against Pakistan, bundling them out for 63. As a result, India secured an 18-run victory, giving them the record for the lowest total successfully defended in a Women's Asia Cup final.

5. First 100+ run win in the Women's T20I Asia Cup

India also recorded the first 100-plus-run victory in the Women's T20I Asia Cup. During the 2018 edition, they demolished Malaysia by 142 runs, registering the then-highest victory margin in the tournament’s history. It was later surpassed by Pakistan in the same edition, who beat Malaysia by 147 runs.
