Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will host Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 49 of IPL 2026 on Wednesday, May 6. For Punjab Kings, a win will take them inches closer to the playoffs whereas victory for Sunrisers Hyderabad will help them displace the former and become the new table toppers.

SRH were on a five-match winning streak before they were stunned at home by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). They weren't good enough to handle Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine and paid the price eventually. The good news for them is that Nitish Kumar Reddy is fit again and would most likely replace R Smaran.
