As the clock ticks away, there is a greater sense of anticipation building towards the India versus Pakistan fixture, which is being perceived as the blockbuster clash of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue are hot favourites to take the honours as they have the form and history weighing more on their side.
Both teams have played each other eight times at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, with India winning on seven occasions and Pakistan just once. What adds to their psychological edge is the fact that they are coming into this marquee encounter on the back of three consecutive wins over their arch-rivals during the Asia Cup last year in the United Arab Emirates.

England's ODI World Cup-winning captain, Eoin Morgan, also believes that India are hot favourites to emerge victorious when the mother of all rivalries takes centre stage at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on February 15.
The England great even said that Team India are too robust for a lot of other teams participating in the signature ICC event, and not just Pakistan.
"High-voltage, high-pressure. India, for me," Morgan said during the latest episode of the Mr Cricket UAE Podcast. "They are simply too good, and it's not just too good for Pakistan. They're too good for many teams in this tournament.
"Tomorrow and the rest of the tournament for India is about dealing with pressure. If they can deal with it tomorrow, they can deal with it in a semi-final or a final. The quality of the team that they are, I see them producing tomorrow," he added.
Meanwhile, this will be the second time that the two Asian neighbours will square off against each other in a T20I at the R Premadasa in Colombo. Their previous meeting came during the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, when India romped home with eight wickets and three overs to spare. Virat Kohli (78* off 61 balls) was adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM) for playing a stellar knock under pressure.
