The IPL 2026 mini-auction is set to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16, with 359 players to go under the hammer for 77 vacant slots. While high-profile international stars continue making the buzz, there are a few lesser-known, emerging talents who could deliver the best value for money.
Here are three uncapped players who might prove to be steal deals at IPL 2026 auction:
1. Auqib Nabi
Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi could be one of the best value-for-money options at the auction, having set a base price of INR 30 lakh. The pacer has claimed 43 wickets across 34 T20 matches, while his red-ball performances are even more impressive, with 125 wickets in 36 First-Class matches.

Nabi’s control and precision with the new-ball is his most notable strength. He has the ability to generate movement through the air, making him a potent threat in the powerplay. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are reportedly interested in the young pacer.
2. Salil Arora
Punjab’s Salil Arora is another uncapped talent who could see a few paddles raised at the auction. While his experience in T20 cricket has been limited, Arora has made a strong impression in a short span, scoring 267 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 53.40.
His most remarkable innings came in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, as he smacked an unbeaten 125 against Jharkhand, albeit in a losing cause. Arora’s temperament to anchor and accelerate an innings as required is a clear USP and the additional ability to keep wickets makes him a multi-dimensional option.
3. Ashok Sharma
Rajasthan seamer Ashok Sharma is another potential steal-deal player. He has previously worked for Rajasthan Royals as a net bowler, making him aware of the tournament dynamics. He subsequently earned an IPL contract with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022. However, his spent the entire season on the bench. He later rejoined RR and was picked up for INR 30 lakh at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
The pacer has an impressive record in T20 cricket, having scalped 20 wickets in just eight matches at an average of 13.45. His raw pace makes him an intriguing option for teams looking to strengthen their local pace preserves.
