The third season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) recently came to a close as South Delhi Superstarz were crowned champions after beating Central Delhi Kings by seven wickets in the final. The recent season served as another terrific platform for the budding cricketers of Delhi to make waves with their talent.
Ever since Priyansh Arya made headlines by earning an IPL contract after smashing six sixes in an over in the inaugural season, the IPL franchises have kept a close eye on the DPL during every season. As another season concludes, here are the top three players from DPL 2026 who could fetch big IPL contracts in the upcoming auction:
1. Siddharth Joon
The southpaw made headlines during the tournament for his belligerent strokeplay at the top of the order. Being an opening wicketkeeper batter, Joon has shades of Adam Gilchrist in him, due to his fearless approach. The 20-year-old scored 327 runs from 13 innings at a strike rate of 204.38 for Central Delhi Kings.
Having shown glimpses of his dual ability with the gloves and willow, Joon will likely be on the radar of several IPL franchises.
2. Yajas Sharma
It’s not often that you outshine an established IPL star like Priyansh Arya while batting with him. However, Yajas Sharma managed to do that successfully as he caught the attention of fans with his consistent performances throughout DPL season 3. He accumulated 365 runs from ten innings at an average of 40.56 at a strike rate of 202.78.
3. Anshuman Hooda
The right-arm seamer was the joint-highest wicket-taker of the season with 21 wickets from ten matches at an average of 15.48 with one five-wicket haul. Hooda managed to extract good bounce through his variations at the Arun Jaitley Stadium pitch. He could also be on the radar of the franchises ahead of the upcoming auction.
