Anukul Roy has been picked as the replacement for Harsh Dubey by the Men's selection committee for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka. Roy, a spin-bowling allrounder who specialises in left-arm off-spin, is a like-for-like replacement for Dubey, who has been named in India's squads for the multi-format series against Afghanistan at home.
Roy, 27, had a successful stint in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26. The southpaw scored 303 runs in 10 innings for Jharkhand at an astounding average of 60.60 and a strike rate of 160.31, including a fifty. His contribution was vital as Jharkhand lifted the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time in their cricketing history.

In 61 List A games, Roy has racked up 1279 runs, averaging 32.79, at a strike rate of 95.51, including eight fifties and a best of 98*. He also has claimed 59 wickets in his List A career at an average of 36.74 and an economy rate of 4.87, including four four-wicket hauls.
