The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 15-member India A squad for the upcoming one-day tri-series in Sri Lanka, scheduled to be held in June 2026. Alongside India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A will also be seen participating in the series.
Tilak Varma will be leading the squad while Riyan Parag has been named his deputy. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also been named in the team as he continues his rapid rise in his career. The 15-year-old turned heads with a blistering 35-ball century in his debut season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025.

He further shattered record books with a Player of the Tournament performance in India’s Under-19 World Cup triumph earlier this year. Sooryavanshi slammed a breathtaking 175 (80) and was adjudged Player of the Match in the final against England.
He also finished as the second-highest run scorer of the tournament with 439 runs from seven innings, taking home the Player of the Tournament award. Sooryavanshi has again continued his rich form in the ongoing IPL 2026, with 440 runs from 11 innings so far at a strike-rate of 236.55.
Prabhsimran Singh, Anshul Kamboj also named in squad
