Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali suffered a nasty head injury before he was taken off the field of play on a stretcher on the opening day of the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh in Sylhet on Saturday, May 16.
The incident unfolded in Hasan's first over of the game (eighth of the match). Hasan bowled a slightly short of good length delivery and angled it across Tanzid Hasan, who chipped it to the right of the bowler.

Hasan lunged to his right with an outstretched hand but could only manage to get his fingertips to the ball. He landed awkwardly and suffered an injury to his head in the process. Pakistan's physio and a team of doctors rushed to his aid.

The Pakistan seamer received medical attention on the field before being stretchered off. Skipper Shan Masood then lobbed the ball to Salman Agha to finish off the remaining delivery in the over.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to provide an update on the nature of the injury to Hasan.
Pakistan win toss and elect to field, leave out Shaheen Shah Afridi
Earlier in the day, Pakistan chose to field first on a slightly overcast morning in Sylhet. It had rained a bit in the lead-up to the fixture, and therefore, Pakistan skipper Shan Masood thought of extracting the moisture out of the surface first up.
Pakistan made three changes to their playing XI. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imam-ul-Haq and Noman Ali made way for pacer Khurram Shahzad, Babar Azam and Sajid Khan. Shaheen returned figures of 5/167 in the first Test, whereas Noman bagged 4/156.
Babar, who was unavailable for selection in the previous game with a left knee injury, regained his fitness in time and was added to the playing XI.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh made two changes to their XI. Tanzid was handed his Test debut, and he replaced the injured Shadman Islam. Left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam came in place of Ebadot Hossain.
