Hardik Pandya ruled out of India A unofficial ODIs against Australia A

Suryansh Shedge has replaced Hardik Pandya in India A's squad for the three-match Unofficial 50-over series starting October 6 at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry. Hardik was initially named in the 15-player squad but suffered an injury to his shin, ruling him out of action for 15 days.

The star allrounder has not played a competitive game since his appearance for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the final game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Hardik's last ODI appearance came against New Zealand in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS) on March 9 last year. He remains a part of India's plans for the ODI World Cup next year in southern Africa.

Meanwhile, Shedge, 23, has already made his international debut for India. His debut came against Ireland in Belfast on June 28. Shedge has played 15 List A games and aggregated 258 runs at an average of 21.50 and a strike rate of 101.97, including a half-century. He has claimed 11 wickets in the format at an average of 29.63 and an economy rate of 6.54.
