Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have engaged in a player trade ahead of the Indian Premier League 2027 (IPL 2027) mini auction. Two players have been swapped between the two teams as Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards have moved to CSK, while Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis have joined SRH.
Livingstone joins CSK for a reduced fee of INR 6 Crore after SRH acquired him for INR 13 crore at the 2026 auction, while Australian seam all-rounder Edwards also moves to the five-time champions at his existing fee.
Edwards was signed by SRH for INR 3 Crore before making his international debut for Australia after they outbid CSK at the auction. However, he couldn’t play in the IPL 2026 season and was ruled out with a foot injury. On the other hand, left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed joins SRH at his existing fee of INR 4.8 crore.
He featured in five matches for CSK in IPL 2026 before being ruled out of the season with a right quadriceps injury. Khaleel has previously represented SRH in 24 matches from 2018 to 2021 and scalped 32 wickets.
