Sri Lanka have named a 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan. Kusal Mendis will lead the team, having been appointed as the new Test skipper after Dhananjaya de Silva stepped down from the position.
Pathum Nissanka has also been named in the squad, but his participation in the series will be subject to full fitness. The star batter missed the last Test series against India in August as he's still recovering from the wrist surgery he underwent in June.
Dilshan Madushanka also marks his return to the Test squad, while Eshan Malinga and Anjala Bandara have also earned call-ups. However, opener Lahiru Udara misses out despite his impressive 188 against the West Indies in June, while Niroshan Dickwella also failed to find a place.
The two-match Test series begins on November 9 in Rawalpindi, while the second Test will be played in Lahore, beginning on November 17. Sri Lanka are currently placed seventh on the World Test Championship 2025-27 standings, while Pakistan are ninth.
