Bangladesh Cricket Board has made a U-Turn and granted Nahid Rana the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to return to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and make the push to help Peshawar Zalmi win their second title. Zalmi have already qualified for the final of the tournament. They crushed Islamabad United by 70 runs in the Qualifier to cement their berth in the summit clash.
BCB had initially granted Rana the NOC to feature in the PSL till April 13. He was then asked to come back home and report for national duty as Bangladesh welcomed New Zealand for a white-ball series. He was not named in the first two T20Is of the ongoing three-match series after leading the team in the bowling department to a 2-1 ODI series win.

"This decision has been made considering the significance of participating in the final of a major global franchise competition, which is viewed as an important step in the continued development of the player," the BCB said in a statement. "More importantly, the team management and BCB medical team has provided clearance, confirming that his participation in the match will not adversely affect his fitness, workload management or availability for national duty."
Javed Afridi, the owner of Zalmi, expressed his gratitude to the interim BCB president Tamim Iqbal for his generous and thoughtful move.
