Legendary India cricketer and former head coach Rahul Dravid’s son, Anvay Dravid, has been selected in the India Under-19 one-day squad for the tour of Sri Lanka next month. India will take on Sri Lanka in three One-Day and two Multi-Day matches, beginning July 4.

Anvay is a right-handed wicketkeeper batter who has also played for India B Under-19 once against Afghanistan Under-19 in a one-day tri-series at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru in November 2025. However, he couldn’t leave an impact with the bat, scoring a golden duck, but took two important catches behind the stumps.

Anvay recently also captained Karnataka's Under-19 team to the quarter-finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. He finished as his side's second-highest run-scorer, amassing 220 runs in six innings at an impressive average of 55.00.

Both India Under-19 squads for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour will be led by Madhya Pradesh's Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan, with Uttarakhand top-order batter Lakshya Raichandani serving as vice-captain. The 17-year-old Raichandani has already broken into first-class cricket, scoring three half-centuries in five innings during the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season.

Red-ball matches to begin on July 13

India's tour will begin with three one-day matches in Hambantota on July 4, 6 and 9, with all games scheduled to start at 10 am local time. The action will then shift to the longer format, with the first four-day match taking place in Galle from July 13 to 16, followed by the second in Colombo from July 20 to 23.

Earlier, Dravid's elder son, Samit Dravid was also selected for the India Under-19 squad for the 2024 series against Australia Under-19 but missed the tour after suffering a knee injury. He had earned his maiden Under-19 call-up following impressive performances in Karnataka's Maharaja T20 Trophy.
