Star India batter Sanju Samson admitted that the team is missing Jasprit Bumrah but said that it is also full of several other talented bowlers. Indian bowling has struggled in recent times, having consistently leaked runs, allowing the opponents to post humongous totals.

In the ongoing series against West Indies, India conceded their third-highest successful run chase in ODIs and the second-highest chase overall in T20Is. Amid the soaring totals, Sanju Samson was asked if the team is missing the pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah.

The opener extolled the pacer, calling him a ‘once in a generation’ bowler but also backed the young seamers to become better the more they play.

"There is no replacement for Jasprit Bumrah. He is a once-in-a-generation kind of bowler, and we are very lucky to have him. But we have had some really good talent coming along also; Arshdeep [Singh] has been doing a great job, and also the way Prince Yadav has bowled in the last few games is very impressive. I feel we have some really good talent. The more we play them, the more we back them, the better they will become,” said Samson in the post-match press conference.

Samson also called Tilak Varma’s dismissal the turning point of the fourth T20I in Hyderabad as India failed to chase down the massive target of 248 to be bundled out for 223.

"The turning point of the match was when Tilak got out. We were cruising, scoring those 10-12 runs per over really nicely. Reddy and Tilak were batting really well in the pressure situation. Till that moment, I think we were in the chase,” he added.

Shai Hope troubles India again

West Indies captain Shai Hope was adjudged Player of the Match for scoring his fourth hundred of the tour. Hope once again led from the front, notching up his third T20I hundred, playing a stellar innings of 102* (50). Courtesy of his innings, and a five-wicket haul (5/41) from Keemo Paul, West Indies won the match by 24 runs to level the series 2-2.

The fifth and final T20I of the series is scheduled to be played on October 17 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
