Right-arm medium pacer Yudhvir Singh Charak has been ruled out for the remainder of the ongoing A-Team tri-series in Sri Lanka. According to the BCCI, the 28-year-old experienced discomfort in his right shoulder while bowling on June 13 and had experienced similar pain during a fielding session on June 11. The issue that Yudhvir is battling has been identified as a right rotator cuff injury.
"The BCCI Medical Team, after consultation with a specialist, recommended that Yudhvir undergo a graduated rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) to achieve a full recovery from the right rotator cuff injury," the BCCI said in a press release.
The All India Senior Men's Selection Committee has named tearaway pacer Ashok Sharma as Yudhvir's replacement for the remainder of the ongoing tri-series. Ashok clocked one of the fastest deliveries of IPL 2026 at 154.2 kph and made crucial contributions to Gujarat Titans' campaign.

Notably, Ashok has also received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from his former state, Rajasthan, and he'll be seen representing Gujarat from the 2026-27 domestic season onwards.
Ashok's pace was impressive in all six games he played in IPL 2026, taking as many wickets. However, his economy rate was a cause of concern for the team as he conceded runs at 10.85 per over. He was made to sit out of the playing XI as the tournament entered the business end and Titans found left-arm seamer Arshad Khan more suitable to their needs.
Ashok had an impressive Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26. He finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 22 scalps in 10 games for Rajasthan at an economy rate of 9.25. Impressed with his outings, Gujarat splurged INR 90 lakhs at the IPL 2026 auction to bring him on board.
