Star India batter Virat Kohli was spotted watching the Indian women’s cricket team in action during their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 fixture against Australia on Sunday, June 28, at Lord’s. India are taking on Australia in a must-win Group A fixture, with their semi-final qualification on the line.
To cheer the Women in Blue, Virat Kohli was spotted in the crowd sitting alongside former India head coach Ravi Shastri. Kohli’s Bollywood actor wife Anushka Sharma, was also present in the crowd supporting the Indian team. Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was also in the crowd, supporting the women’s side in the must-win encounter.

Kohli recently missed the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan due to a calf injury. It was for the first time in his career that Kohli missed an entire series due to injury concerns. He’s been named in the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in England and is expected to be fit for the series in time.
Harmanpreet guides India to 170
Meanwhile, India women posted a good score of 170/4 in their allotted 20 overs, courtesy of a blistering half-century from captain Harmanpreet Kaur. The India skipper played a magnificent innings of 56 (27) studded with six fours and three sixes. Apart from her, Smriti Mandhana (38 off 37), Shafali Verma (34 off 26) and Jemimah Rodrigues (34 off 28) also made valuable contributions.
For Australia, captain Sophie Molineux emerged as the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets from four overs, giving away 46 runs.
