The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 finally came to an end as Australia clinched their seventh title, beating England by seven wickets in the summit clash at Lord’s. A total of 33 matches were held across 24 days, which left the fans on the edge of their seats with riveting cricketing action.
The tournament witnessed several historic moments as England and Australia posted the highest score in its history, while Australia also completed the highest successful chase in the T20 World Cup. Courtesy of their constant efforts, they were crowned champions again at a world event after three years.
To show its continued support towards women’s cricket, the ICC had increased the prize money by 10% for the 2026 edition from the last one played in 2024. The total prize pool was fixed at USD 8,764,615 to be distributed among 12 participating teams for the first time in its history.
As winners of the tournament, Australia were awarded USD 2,340,000, along with USD 31,154 for every victory in the group stage, with their total prize money expanding to USD 2,743,270.
On the other hand, England received prize money of US$1,170,000, being the runners-up, along with USD 31,154 given for every victory in the group stage for all teams, taking their total earnings in the tournament to USD 1573,270.
