IPL 2026: Kyle Jamieson rattles Vaibhav Sooryavanshi with brutal reality check

India’s teen batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, was served a big reality check during Match 43 of the Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) on Friday, May 1 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The 15-year-old wonder kid has earned plaudits so far in his career for his ability to take on bowlers right from the word go, irrespective of their reputation.

On Friday against Delhi Capitals (DC), almost a similar script followed as Sooryavanshi got off the mark by whacking Kyle Jamieson for a boundary straight down the ground. While many looked startled at Jamieson’s over-the-top celebration, calling it unnecessary given Sooryavanshi’s age, it was a stark reminder of the unforgiving nature of top-level cricket. The 15-year-old has already become the prime target of the opponents in his short IPL career.
