Bangladesh have a rare opportunity to register their maiden ODI series win over the reigning ODI world champions Australia. The Bangla Tigers are hosting the Aussies for a three-match ODI series, slated to get underway at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on June 9.
Australia have announced a fairly depleted squad for the contest. Their worries have compounded as Cricket Australia has granted Travis Head leave to manage his workload. Mitchell Marsh has also been ruled out of the ODIs with an ankle injury.
On the contrary, Bangladesh have named a full-strength squad and are favourites to clinch the series. They are in fine form, having beaten both New Zealand and Pakistan in their last two ODI series.
