After a humiliating defeat in the third T20I, India have their backs against the wall as they again take on England in the fourth match on Thursday, July 9, at County Ground, Bristol. Chasing a target of 202, the Men in Blue were bundled out for just 76, their second-lowest score in T20Is, suffering their biggest-ever defeat in the format by 125 runs.

The double T20 World Cup champions are now staring at their second successive series loss under their new captain, Shreyas Iyer. Hence, India have a lot to prove in the upcoming fixture and will be desperate to get a win under their name.

On the other hand, England have been clinical in the two matches so far, having taken a 2-0 lead in the series. They’re just one victory away from winning their first series against India after over 12 years, having lost the last five on the trot. The Harry Brook-led side finds itself on the cusp of history and will look to hand India another crushing defeat in the upcoming game.

England vs India Predicted Playing 11

England (ENG):

Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (wk), Harry Brook (capt), Jacob Bethell, Tom Banton, Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson, Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer, Josh Tongue

India (IND):

Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Ishan Kishan (wk), Shreyas Iyer (capt), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube/Suryansh Shedge, Axar Patel/Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy

Players to watch out for in ENG vs IND:

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (IND):

Sooryavanshi has had a sluggish start to his international career, having scored 27 runs from two innings so far. The teenager has impressed with a few hits, but the impactful knocks that he’s known for have eluded him. With India in desperate need of a win, all eyes will be on Sooryavanshi to see how he counters the new-ball threat against Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue.

Sam Curran (ENG):

The left-arm seamer has been instrumental in putting a stranglehold on the batters in the middle overs with his crucial strikes. Curran is the joint-highest wicket-taker of the series with four wickets from two innings at an average of 14.50 and an economy of 8.28. He hasn’t allowed the Indian batters to finish the innings on a high in the series so far and will again prove to be a thorn in their flesh in the upcoming fixture.
