After a record-breaking run-fest in Guwahati, India and West Indies will meet again for the third and final ODI of the series on Saturday, October 3 at PCA International Cricket Stadium, Ground A, New Chandigarh. The Men in Blue have flexed their batting muscles in the first two fixtures, with captain Shubman Gill leading from the front with back-to-back centuries.
It was his record-shattering fastest double century in ODIs that helped India waltz through the humongous target of 406 with 39 balls to spare. Stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also slammed one century each to add to West Indies’ misery.
However, the inexperienced bowling attack has been India’s biggest worry in the series so far, with only Kuldeep Yadav being their only ray of hope. It will be put through another test in New Chandigarh.
On the other hand, the West Indies have also shown their batting prowess with back-to-back stellar performances but have only managed to take four Indian wickets so far in the series. With the series already gone from their hands, the visitors will be desperate to avoid a whitewash and spring a surprise in the upcoming fixture.
