Match Preview
Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians lock horns in the eighth match of IPL 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, April 4.
Both the teams come into the game with a win in their respective previous match. DC overcame LSG in Lucknow on the back of Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs' unbroken 119-run stand while MI defeated KKR by six wickets at home courtesy Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton's blitzkrieg of 148 runs off 71 balls.

The way both the teams played their respective first match this seems to be an exciting contest. On paper, DC's batting line-up might look weaker than MI's but the team holds immense potential to fire on a given day. When it comes to bowling both the teams are very much even steven and the surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium might suit them in general.

Players to watch out for in DC vs MI
Ryan Rickelton (MI)
Rickelton played a scintillating knock of 81 runs off 43 balls which included eight sixes and four fours in the last match. The South African had a decent T20 World Cup prior to the IPL in which he scored 61 runs in two innings at this ground. The left-hander is in very good form and is expected to deliver in Delhi too.
Kuldeep Yadav (DC)
The Chinaman might get decent assistance at this ground given how some pitches behaved in the T20 World Cup. Kuldeep's record here in the IPL is good as well with the spinner having 20 wickets to his name in 21 innings. However, the only downside to his stats at this stadium is his economy rate which is slightly on the higher side at 8.90. The 31-year-old can be impactful in this match which will be his 100th in the league.
