GT were largely mediocre in their first match against PBKS. The batters could only put up 162 on the board before Cooper Connolly's unbeaten 72 guided the home team to victory despite a scare in the middle phase. RR, on the other hand, annihilated CSK to win big courtesy of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's whirlwind 52.
GT would be happy to play at home and get their campaign on track. The team has the players who can inspire and begin a sustainable winning run and it is just a matter of clicking as a team once.
