Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 60 of the Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) on Saturday, May 16, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. KKR find themselves in a precarious position heading into the fixture, after losing their last match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

The Ajinkya Rahane-led side is ranked eighth on the IPL 2026 points table with nine points from 11 games, and another loss will knock them out of the playoffs race. On the other hand, GT are coming into the fixture on the back of five successive victories. They have a great chance to climb to the top of the points table with another commanding win in the upcoming fixture.

Players to watch out for in KKR vs GT

Shubman Gill

The GT skipper had a rare failure in the previous fixture, getting dismissed for 5 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Gill has led from the front in the ongoing season, having scored 467 runs from 11 innings at an average of 42.45 and a strike rate of 158.30. As Gujarat eye to finish in the top two, the onus again will be on Gill to help them register crucial wins in the final few fixtures of the league stage.

Sunil Narine

The off-spinner has had a good season so far with 11 wickets from ten matches at an average of 23.54 and an economy of 6.64. With KKR having their back against the wall, they desperately need Narine to run through GT’s famed batting line-up in the favourable conditions at the Eden Gardens.
