Players to watch out for in RCB vs GT

Virat Kohli

The star batter has been the leading run scorer for RCB in the ongoing season with 600 runs to his name from 15 innings at an average of 50 and a strike rate of 164.38. Kohli doesn’t have a great record in IPL finals with just one half-century to his name from four innings, which came in 2016, when he scored 54 (35) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In the last year’s final, he again struggled to get going and was eventually dismissed for 43 (35) against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Kohli will be eyeing to set his record straight in the upcoming fixture and guide RCB to their second successive title with a big knock.

Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada has played a key role in Gujarat’s success throughout the season, being the leading wicket taker of the tournament with 28 wickets from 16 innings at an average of 20.78 and an economy of 9.43. Rabada has been instrumental in dismantling the top order, as he also has the most wickets in the powerplay this season. He’s been lethal on the bouncy surface at the Narendra Modi Stadium and will again pose a big threat to RCB’s batters in the all-important final.
