After a forgettable beginning to his captaincy tenure, Shreyas Iyer will be desperate to register his first win as the Indian skipper as they take on Zimbabwe in the first T20I of the three-match series on Thursday, July 23 at Harare Sports Club, Harare.
Ever since winning the T20 World Cup 2026, India’s performances have seen a downward curve, losing back-to-back series against Ireland and England. Several questions have been raised about the team combination, their ability to bat in slightly difficult conditions and the dismal fielding.
