Priyansh Arya rose to prominence after smashing six consecutive sixes, playing for South Delhi Superstarz during the Delhi Premier League 2024 (DPL 2024). The southpaw made his debut in domestic cricket in 2021 during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) against Uttarakhand.
He slammed his first half-century against Karnataka and followed it up with a breathtaking 81 (47) against Tamil Nadu. However, his life changed after a prolific season in the Delhi Premier League.

The southpaw finished as the highest run scorer of the 2024 season, plundering 608 runs from 10 innings at an average of 67.56 and a strike rate of 198.69 with two hundreds and four fifties to his name. After a successful season, he continued his rich form in the SMAT 2024-25, scoring a breathtaking 43-ball 102 against Uttar Pradesh.
Just a day after his century, he was picked up by Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) mega auction for a whopping Rs 3.80 Crore. He finished the SMAT season as the highest run scorer for Delhi with 325 runs from nine innings, with one hundred and as many fifties.
The 24-year-old smashed a 23-ball 47 on his IPL debut against Gujarat Titans but showed his true potential two innings later, where he went on to slam the joint fourth fastest hundred of the tournament off just 39 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
He finished the season with 475 runs from 17 innings at an average of 27.94 and a strike rate of 179.24 with one hundred and two fifties to his name, playing a pivotal role in Punjab’s run to the final.
He has begun 2025 in the same manner, having won his first Player of the Match of the season against CSK, for scoring a belligerent 39 (11).
