The Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) playoffs are upon us as four teams have ensured their qualification in the knockout stages of the competition. While all four sides had contrasting journeys in the season so far, the margin of error would turn extremely slim in the playoffs, especially for the third and fourth-ranked teams.
It’s said that batters win you matches, bowlers win you tournaments. The adage could well prove to be true again as the IPL heads into its most crucial chapter. As the four teams prepare themselves to get a step closer to lifting the coveted trophy. Here’s a ranking of the bowling attack of all the playoffs sides:

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH sealed their spot in the playoffs after finishing third on the IPL 2026 points table with 18 points. The Pat Cummins-led side is the fourth-most successful bowling attack of the tournament so far, having taken 84 wickets from 14 innings. On the other hand, they have also leaked runs at an economy of 9.9, which is the fourth-worst in the season.
3. Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan made a late entry into the playoffs after beating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 30 runs in their last league fixture. Rajasthan possess a strong bowling attack heading into the playoffs with Jofra Archer breathing fire along with Brijesh Sharma and Nandre Burger. They’re the third-most prolific bowling unit of the tournament, with 85 wickets from 14 games, and also have an economy of 9.78, which is sixth-best in the season.
2. Royal Challengers Bengaluru
The defending champions are flying high after topping the points table, winning nine out of their 14 league matches. Known for boasting firepower in their batting in the past, RCB have finally balanced it out with a potent bowling attack.
