Aaryavir Sehwag, Anvay Dravid selected in India U-19 squad for home series vs Australia U-19

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming series against Australia Under-19, beginning on September 18, 2026. The One-Day squad will be led by Lakshya Raichandani, while Yashbardhan Chauhan will be the vice-captain.

Two prominent names have also made it to the squad: Aaryavir Sehwag, son of former India cricketer Virender Sehwag, and Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay Dravid. Aryavir is a batter and is currently playing in the Delhi Premier League (DPL), while Anvay is a right-handed wicketkeeper batter who was earlier selected for India Under-19 one-day squad for the Sri Lanka tour.

The 17-year-old had a good tour, scoring 101 runs from two innings with a highest score of 87. Anvay previously also played for India B Under-19 against Afghanistan Under-19 in a one-day tri-series at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru in November 2025.

The series comprises three One-Day matches and two multi-day fixtures. The three One-Day matches and the first Multi-Day fixture will be played in Rajkot, while the second Multi-Day fixture will be held in Ahmedabad.
