Bangladesh are hopeful that Litton Das will recover in time for their two-match Test series against the West Indies. Litton suffered a hip injury while training with the team ahead of their opening match of the ODI tri-series against Zimbabwe on October 17. The injury has ruled him out of the tournament involving Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Litton underwent scans on Monday, and the reports revealed no major damage to his hip, providing a positive update for the Bangladesh team management. A member of the BCB medical committee also confirmed that Litton underwent a light physiotherapy session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday.

"Yes, Litton came today to meet us," a member of the BCB medical committee was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz. "There was nothing significantly wrong in his scan report, but there is a slight muscle issue."

"We reviewed the scan report and conducted a light physiotherapy session today. We will have another light session tomorrow, and after two days we will be in a better position to assess his condition and determine the extent of the injury," he said.

"We are hopeful that he will be available for the Test series against the West Indies, but we cannot say anything with certainty until we monitor his progress over the next couple of days. At the moment, however, there are no concerns regarding his hip joint," he added.

Meanwhile, the West Indies' Test tour of Bangladesh will begin with a three-day warm-up match on October 22. The first Test is scheduled to start on October 28 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, while the second Test will be played in Sylhet from November 5.
